New audit partner and 85 promotions at BDO

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has appointed a new audit partner and promoted 85 people in the Midlands.

Audit partner Jon Gilpin joins BDO following 20 years at PwC. Jon, who will be based in the firm’s Birmingham office, specialises in the provision of audit to UK and internationally-focused businesses.

Jon has significant experience leading large projects and providing complex technical accounting advice to high-growth private and listed businesses, with specific expertise in the manufacturing sector. He also has experience in working with public sector organisations..

Further to Jon’s appointment, BDO reinforces its commitment to rewarding talent by promoting 85 people in the region. The promotions include 11 at senior manager level or above and span BDO’s tax, audit and advisory practices as well as its support functions. UK-wide BDO has promoted a record high of 1,110 people this month.
