A new £3.5 million industrial and trade park project, which will create around 75 new jobs in Redditch, is taking shape.

The Crescent Trade Park in Moons Moat, which features 24,000 sq ft of commercial space, with 70 car parking spaces, is being developed by Halesowen-based A&H Construction & Developments.

It will see two new retail outlets created as well as ten industrial or trade counter units with completion expected early in 2018.

Steelwork is already erected on several of the units, which range from 1,485 sq ft to 9,000 sq ft, and one – a 5,850 sq ft property – has now been cladded.

There is flexible planning use on the units and all of them have been designed to accommodate mezzanine floors. Occupiers will also have the chance to fit-out prior to formal completion.

MacMullen Associates has helped to bring the development forward while KWB Industrial and Bromwich Hardy are joint agents on the development. Both are reporting strong interest.

Kenny Allan, of KWB Industrial, said: “There has been a dearth of new, smaller units in Redditch for many years – in fact, that is the case in many places across the country.

“It is refreshing to be able to offer quality space which has the kind of flexibility the occupiers are looking for. This is a great location and that is proving to be a strong pull for potential occupiers.”

David Penn, of Bromwich Hardy, added: “Enquiries are encouraging. Trade counter and industrial units are in high demand across the West Midlands and particularly here in Redditch, where there has been limited development of this nature.

“It is prominently located and that’s why we believe it is well-suited to the trade counter sector. That said, industrial companies are also vying for high-quality, well-located space so we’d urged potential occupiers to get in touch quickly.”
