Property maintenance company sets out major growth plans

Nationwide Property Environmental (NPE) Maintenance has announced a restructure and succession plans to take the business through an ambitious growth strategy over the next five years.

The Huddersfield based business, which provides property maintenance services for a broad spectrum of estate sectors, has set out targets to more than double its turnover year on year to achieve £5 million by 2022.

Damian Mallinson, who became Managing Director and majority shareholder in June 2015 said,

“Since taking ownership of the business I have reviewed its structure and service proposition and made a number of changes which I believe makes NPE Maintenance a much more competitive and value-added business.

“One such change has been the appointment of Charlotte Hamer as Operations Director.  Bringing considerable experience from the blue-chip pharmaceutical sector, Charlotte has already implemented some major streamlining to our customer service to both clients and our national network of contractors.”

NPE Maintenance has set out to achieve its targets by focusing business generation across multiple portfolio holders in housing, retail and industrial sectors.  It’s service promises response times within four hours for urgent repairs and maintenance jobs with a nationwide network of approved contractors for electrical, plumbing, joinery, decorating, security and drainage.

To support its business generation programme, it has also appointed new members to its customer support team.  Lending from the Business Enterprise Fund has helped to secure expert advice from non-executive directors’ regarding joint venture partnering and future acquisitions.

Jeremy Meadowcroft, Investment Manager at the Business Enterprise Fund said,

“NPE Maintenance has an exciting business model that responds directly to the growing estates refurbishment market, and the ever more stringent landlord obligations in property maintenance.   As a business lender, we aim to help businesses thrive, improving the wealth of the local economy so we are delighted to support this business with its ambitious growth plans.”

NPE Maintenance has a broad client portfolio including Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Peacocks, Centric Property Lettings, HSS Hire and The Works. It has a national network of 3,500 strategic partners and directly employs a team of ten at its Yorkshire Headquarters.
