BNP Paribas Real Estate has been appointed as managing agent at 20 Canada Square, E14, which is wholly-owned by Cheung Kei Group.

The leading real estate adviser also carried out commercial due diligence on the 12-storey property, which comprises almost 600,000 sq ft of prime office and retail space, ahead of its purchase.

Lynne Brown, Senior Director in Property Management at BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “This is a fantastic property and we are delighted to have supported the client with pre-acquisition due diligence and at having been retained as managing agent.

“Our involvement demonstrates our and breadth of experience and expertise in advising those looking to invest in the UK market, and our understanding of investors’ needs at every stage of the real estate lifecycle.”

Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, the building is home to a number of high-quality occupiers with two blue-chip corporate covenants, BP International and S&P Global Ltd, as well as a number of retailers.

It was designed by internationally renowned architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by the Canary Wharf Group, and boasts a steel frame construction complemented by glazed aluminium curtain walling to provide a contemporary design and maximise natural light.
