Antiques firm finds property gem in Thirsk

Millgate Pine & Antiques has let a warehouse in Thirsk on a five year lease for £12,000 per annum. The family run business had been operating from their own farm premises where they housed workshops and showrooms within converted barns.

The 11,284 sq ft premises, known as Buffer Depot, will house a new storage facility for the company which will allow them to expand the online sales side of their business. The building is located in a residential area and was originally used by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) before being purchased by Blue Oak Homes.

Dan Hodge, associate with letting agent Ryden, said: “This is a great letting for both the landlord and the tenant. My client wanted to identify a suitable occupier to match their needs and we were able to do this quickly and efficiently. I’m sure the remaining 10,000 sq ft will prove attractive to businesses looking for cost effective workspace in Yorkshire.”

Ryden acted for property owner Blue Oak Homes.
