An increase in demand for building surveying, health and safety/construction design and management advice and principal designer services has led to the expansion of the specialist team at national property and construction consultancy Wakemans.

During the past three years the team has grown organically as the firm has been engaged in more than 160 building surveying projects. The latest recruit is Kate Scougall, who takes up her first role since graduating from Wolverhampton University with a BSc (Hons) degree in building surveying.

Kate was attracted to building surveying because it offers a wide variety of work, both in the office and on site. She is eager to gain experience that will support her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) training and build up her technical skills so that she can attain chartered status.

Wakemans Divisional Director Adrian Cartwright said: “Our comprehensive building surveying offer is an integral part of the firm’s multi-disciplinary service package, which provides clients with a one-stop service for all their construction and property requirements.

“Kate is a most welcome addition to the team and will help us to fulfil client expectations by ensuring a high quality of service delivery.”
