Double letting leaves airport trading estate fully occupied

The industrial team at property advisor JLL, on behalf of the landlord, CBRE Global Investors has let two units at Ringway Trading Estate, signalling that the 150,039 sq ft scheme, which is adjacent to Manchester Airport, is now fully occupied.

Online retailer, EFE Electronic Commerce UK Ltd, has taken a five-year lease on a 5,250 sq ft unit at £6.50 psf, while car rental firm ER Travel Services Ltd is paying £6.25 psf on a 12,203 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease.

The businesses join occupiers at the scheme, located on Shadowmoss Road, which include logistics firm Nippon Express, airport support-services provider TCR UK, and car and van hire company, Arnold Clarke.

The scheme, originally built in the 1980’s, features a total of 13 refurbished units, and is located on the Metrolink route with quick access to Heald Green and Manchester Airport train stations.

Robert Kos, surveyor at JLL, said: “Ringway Trading Estate is one of the closest industrial schemes to Manchester Airport. With the site now fully occupied, it shows the strength in demand for airport linked space.

“Schemes like this will also benefit from the nearby development of Airport City over the next few years, bringing £650 million worth of investment into the area.”

JLL and CBRE are joint agents on the scheme.
