Jones LangLaSalle calls for international push for Bristol’s new enterprise zone

Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone has been officially launched.

In response, Jeremy Richards, head of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Bristol office says:

“The new enterprise zone will deliver world class telecoms and transport links as well as some tax incentives, and Bristol already has a highly skilled workforce. At Jones LangLaSalle we work with global corporates all over the world and these are exactly the elements they’re looking for. The next step will be to develop an arena – an absolute must for a city of Bristol’s size and ambition.

“The challenge now is to ensure the zone attracts real inward investment, rather than simply moving around existing businesses. Bristol needs to direct its marketing efforts to a truly global audience, to attract new jobs and build on the success of Temple Quay which is already home to a million square feet of offices housing major employers. Coupled with an arena, the enterprise zone will also help breathe new life back into the underdeveloped area adjacent to Temple Meads.”
