CBRE teams raise thousands in support of Shelter’s fund for Grenfell Tower

Staff from the northern offices of global property experts CBRE have successfully completed a major cycling fundraiser from Manchester to Leeds in support of their corporate charity partner, Shelter.

The 36-strong team from CBRE’s Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds offices so far has raised more than £1,100 when they pedalled for pounds around a circa 50 mile route from Manchester to Leeds in 5.5 hours.  The route passed through Huddersfield, Slaithwaite, Mirfield and Cleckheaton.

The event coincided with a similar challenge by CBRE’s southern office colleagues, the World’s Biggest Property Bike Ride in Surrey which raised a massive £42,000.  Both events supported Shelter, and funds raised have been donated to Shelter’s fund for victims of the Grenfell Tower disaster.

CBRE employees paid £30 each to take part.  To support the team, go to their fundraising page

Aimee Parkinson, Senior Surveyor at CBRE’s Manchester office said:

“We battled the weather on the day, which went from wind and rain to hot sunshine to get all our riders to the finish line in one piece!  It was a great day of fundraising and team building with our colleagues across the CBRE Northern Region.  We are delighted that our fundraising efforts will go towards Shelter’s work with the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.”
