Camper accessory firm runs to the sun in relocation from Yorkshire

A firm which makes bespoke internal units for VW camper vans has relocated to a new unit in Devon in a deal negotiated by the Plymouth office of Bruton Knowles.

Majestic Campers has now taken a 1,800 sq ft unit at Kingswood Court in South Brent allowing it to increase output of its high quality camper van kitchen units, seats and storage.

Close to the A38, which carries a huge quantity of VW vans heading to the Cornish and Devon coast, the firm hopes its new location will attract enthusiasts looking to upgrade their vehicles.

With a sharp rise in the number of people owning vans, from the classic VW campers to the more modern transits, so too has the demand for more modern and practical interiors.

The firm, which previously operated in Queensbury, Yorkshire, is now looking forward to expanding in a region widely regarded as the mecca for those looking to enjoy the freedom camper vans bring.

Mark Slade, from Bruton Knowles said: “It’s easy to see why Majestic Campers chose this location. It’s so close to the A38 any camper enthusiasts and owners can swing by to get their vans upgraded or to check out the latest designs and ideas.

“Kingswood Court is the ideal location from which it can now serve the growing number of van owners and we were delighted to help them find this new location.

“It’s also great to see a business relocate from Yorkshire to Devon. With improved infrastructure such as super-fast broad band, we expect the number of firms looking to relocate or set up, to increase.

“Out of town locations are also becoming increasingly popular with occupiers seeking modern premises in places such as Plymouth and Torquay. It means any stock which comes to the market is generating strong levels of interest.

“We’re always on the lookout for quality offices and commercial space in order to satisfy what is presently a very buoyant market.”
