Property tech start-up expands team

Two of the most recent senior appointments to Nimbus Property Technology are welcomed by the company’s founders outside Warwick Innovation Centre, Warwick Science Park. L-R: Adam Scorey, Marketing Manager; Daniel Clements, Sales Director; Simon Davis, Director and Paul Davis, Director.

A Warwick-based technology start-up, which is refreshing and modernising the property industry, is expanding and relocating to cope with demand.

Nimbus Property Technology, which started 18 months ago with its two founders, brothers Simon and Paul Davis, now employs nine people and has moved to a larger office within the University of Warwick Science Park’s Warwick Innovation Centre. It has seen considerable growth thanks to its increasing client base, including household names such as Barratt Homes, Bromford Homes and commercial and residential agents across the UK.

Simon Davis said: “Nimbus Property was created by property professionals for property professionals – from agents, developers, investors and property companies – and we have received some hugely positive feedback. Our first 18 months have been extremely successful and we have built up hundreds of new customers, including some very high-profile organisations.”

“Recent hires include a sales director, marketing manager, software developer and a new business development manager. We are also sponsoring two full-time PHD data scientists and two digital marketing apprentices, and we will be looking to recruit more staff in the future with the plans we have,” explains co-Director Paul.

The reason for this expansion is the launch of Nimbus Maps. It came into being to solve the age-old problem property professionals have… finding detailed, accurate, and comprehensive intelligence on property. But the system is more powerful than just finding ownership details, the data Nimbus Maps holds within is a powerful tool for sourcing off-market opportunities.

Simon Davis sums it up perfectly, “Nimbus Property Technology was developed to solve some of the challenges we faced in Assured Property Group as property developers, agents and investors. Rather than spend 80 per cent of our time on the road or digging through websites doing due diligence and only 20 per cent actually doing deals, the Nimbus Maps platform is turning that on its head. As an example, one customer recently shared Nimbus Maps had saved him 15,000 miles and hundreds of hours of searching!

Part of the Assured Property Group, Nimbus Property Technology, which includes Nimbus Maps a cloud-based software platform, is a data services company that holds the largest private database of property intelligence for England and Wales. Nimbus Maps currently contains over 32 million addresses and 27 million registered titles; altogether it uses over 286 trillion bits of data from 86 data sets to give property professionals from all sectors unparalleled intelligence.

Through smart land search technology and sophisticated machine learning, Nimbus Maps grants instant access to information – including a development’s key details – in an easy-to-use map accessed through an online portal. The idea being property developers, agents, companies or investors can do a huge amount of due diligence without leaving their desks, dramatically reduce abortive visits and through our bespoke reporting, source off-market opportunities.

Plugging into data sets from the likes of Land Registry and Ordnance Survey, Nimbus Property Technology, through Nimbus Maps, allows clients including retailers, property developers and care home developers, to analyse data and assess sites using the most accurate and up-to-date intelligence. To sum it up, think of it as a property ‘dating’ tool for anyone buying and selling property commercially.
