Acorn appoints specialist recruit in Gloucester

Acorn, one of the UK’s leading recruitment and training agencies, has appointed a new technical sales consultant at its Gloucester branch.

Louise Webb, from Ledbury, will join Acorn’s permanent technical division which covers the whole of the South West and Midlands. She has 10 years’ experience in the recruitment industry covering technical, commercial and industrial sectors both temporary and permanent.

Louise, who is a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), said: “I’m really excited about joining the hugely successful team at Acorn and have big plans to contribute to the growth of the company as a whole.

Simon Purchase, Acorn’s technical manager, said “We are delighted to welcome Louise on board.

“She is an ambitious individual with an excellent background in the industry and I’m confident she will achieve her goals for the coming year.”

Established in 1992, Acorn has its headquarters at the Celtic Springs Business Park, Newport, and has 35 branches across the UK.

Acorn places up to 5,500 people into about 750 different client companies each week. The company also delivers training to more than 3,000 individuals and makes 1,500 permanent placements every year.

In 2012 Acorn celebrates 20 years as one of the leading recruitment and training agencies in the UK and aims to mark the anniversary by raising £20,000 for 20 different charities across England and Wales.
