Northwich sees footfall of over 300,000 in April 2017

Monthly footfall figures in Northwich exceeded 300,000 for the first time in April 2017. This is following the trend of increased footfall month after month since Barons Quay opened in November 2016.

This footfall is almost double the footfall figure of Northwich in September 2016 (163,000), showing continued growth in Northwich’s popularity since the Barons Quay development opened.

Jane Hough, Business Improvement District Manager of Northwich BID, spoke of her excitement for the future of Northwich following the news, “I’m delighted that Northwich has passed the 300,000 visitor mark in April. It feels like a significant milestone and now with Pro-Tour this weekend and what we hope will soon be exciting news from Barons Quay, it feels like Northwich is really making progress to being the wonderful, thriving town we are all so keen to see.”

The Easter Extravaganza in Northwich town centre proved to be a hit, and brought around 16,000 people to Northwich on Saturday 15th April – one of the busiest days of the month.

And looking ahead Northwich is set for one of its busiest ever weekends this weekend with the Northwich Pro Tour Series (12th May). Barons Quay will offer 900 free parking spaces for spectators, in addition to the rest of the car park provision around the town and is a perfect place to complete the rest of the evening with the ODEON iSense cinema or a meal at Wildwood when the race finishes at 21:00.
