Leading professional services firms have seen their teams almost double in size since opening in Gainsborough’s premier commercial office space, which has now reached 95% capacity.

Marshall’s Yard, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is one of Lincolnshire’s shopping centres also offering small and large-scale offices suitable for growing SMEs or ambitious start-ups.

Managed by Pygott and Crone, the offices in the heart of the historic town have proved to be the ideal location to support thriving businesses, with long-term tenants recording significant business growth.

Accountancy firm Wright Vigar snapped up one of the premium offices just months after the offices opened ten years ago.

“Our firm jumped at the chance to secure office space at Marshall’s Yard in 2007 and it has proved to be the ideal location for us to expand our offering across the region,” said Pete Harrison, director of Wright Vigar.

“The space here provides a professional environment that has enabled us to grow our business in the town far beyond expectation. Our team has grown by more than 40 per cent since opening an office here, which is fantastic as we continue to recruit the right individuals to join our talented team.

“We have seen an upsurge in enquiries, which has allowed us to increase our client base within the town and surrounding area too. With four other offices across the region Wright Vigar is ideally located to support local businesses.

“Gainsborough is going through some exciting changes, so we’re delighted that Pygott & Crone recommended Marshall’s Yard to us. Now with a 14-strong team at this site we certainly made the right decision to invest in the town.”

Similarly, Sills & Betteridge Solicitors opened premises in Marshall’s Yard seven years ago, expanding several times to cope with an increase in demand for its services.

Shan Jaehrig, solicitor said: “Basing ourselves at Marshall’s Yard has had a hugely positive impact on our business. We started with one suite and have since expanded twice to accommodate for the increase in business we have seen – the flexibility of Britannia House has given us the option to do that which many other commercial spaces lack.

“The location has served us incredibly well from the beginning; opening here has allowed us to attract and retain good staff in the town. Not only is it a great place for us to work, it’s an incredibly client-friendly location too.”

Pygott & Crone, Lincolnshire’s leading estate agency has operated across the county’s commercial property market for more than 20 years. The firm continues to work closely with Marshall’s Yard and the Invest Gainsborough team to boost job opportunities in the area and help drive economic growth.

William Downing, director and Pygott and Crone which manages the commercial tenancies at the development, said: “We’ve been working with Dransfield Properties since Marshall’s Yard was initially developed ten years ago and there is no doubt that the development helped to attract some excellent businesses to the town.

“Now the retail and leisure development is well established, and with greater investment into the town’s tourism and housing, Gainsborough continues to be an affordable choice for businesses looking to gain a foothold in the region, and is ideally located near Sheffield, Lincoln and Hull.

“Our commercial team has introduced 25 potential clients to the development and the town is fast becoming a place where more businesses want to invest. We understand what tenants are best suited to this environment, with the site now standing at 95% per cent capacity.

“I’m delighted that businesses have been able to expand so significantly since relocating to the development, it really is a hub for successful local enterprises and the success stories which have come out of Marshall’s Yard are a testament to this.”

Alison Hall, centre manager for Marshall’s Yard added: “In addition to commercial office space, the Marshall’s Yard has several well-known High Street stores including M&S, Laura Ashley, Costa Coffee, Brown’s department store and a gym with a pool, with plenty of onsite parking, which is a real selling point for many of our commercial tenants.

“Pygott & Crone has been the ideal agent to help manage commercial tenants. They are big supporters of Gainsborough and have the expertise to bring commercial businesses to our town to help drive income and create jobs in the area.”
