Lindsays solicitors to move to 100 Queen Street, Glasgow

Award-winning Scottish legal firm Lindsays, has taken the 7,845 sq ft third floor of 100 Queen Street, Glasgow on a 15 year FRI lease.

Totalling 54,000 sq ft, the refurbishment of 100 Queen Street reached practical completion in December 2016 offering seven floors of office accommodation above retail space on the ground floor. Lindsays will join existing tenant Edrington Group who took entry of the upper four floors in December. This latest letting takes the building to over 70% let.

Developers Esson Properties focused on creating quality Grade A space along with the excellent environmental credentials demanded by modern occupiers. The refurbishment also added two new rooftop levels to the existing building.

Hunter Esson, Chief Executive, Esson Properties said: “I am delighted our investment in the refurbishment and extension of this building on Queen Street has attracted such high profile tenants. Office space of this quality continues to be in demand in Glasgow and with the limited pipeline of new build developments, a creative refurbishment completed to a high specification in an exciting location provides a compelling option.”

Ken McInnes, Office Agency Partner, Ryden added: “100 Queen Street boasts fantastic views onto Glasgow’s photogenic Royal Exchange Square and its location is ideal with both Glasgow Central and Queen Street Station only a few minutes’ walk away. We have good levels of interest in the remaining space.”

Alasdair Cummings, Managing Partner at Lindsays commented: ”We are delighted to have secured premises at 100 Queen Street allowing us to move our growing Glasgow team to high quality offices in a first-class, central location. Lindsays expanded into Glasgow in 2008 and since then we have doubled in size.  We provide a full-service from our Glasgow office advising businesses, individuals, families and charities in relation to all their legal needs.”

“We have ambitious plans to continue our growth strategy in Glasgow and our new office at 100 Queen Street will provide an excellent platform as we seek to realise these ambitions.”

Ryden advised Esson Properties. Knight Frank acted for Lindsays.
