Specialist global recruiter, the SThree Group, has become the first tenant to take space at the newly refurbished 10 Temple Street in Birmingham city centre.
The company, which focuses on the STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) sectors has taken the full 10,035 sq ft across the building’s 4th and 5th floors on a 10 year lease.
SThree will be consolidating a number of staff from existing offices in Birmingham and relocating to the newly refurbished offices at 10 Temple Street. SThree will operate its Progressive, Huxley Engineering, Computer Futures and Real Staffing recruitment brands from the building.
Offering 35,707 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation over eight floors, 10 Temple Street is situated on one of Birmingham’s key pedestrian routes between New Street station and the city’s business district.
Michelle Cullen, Managing Partner at SThree, said: “We already had existing office space in Birmingham city centre but the opportunity to relocate under one roof was enticing and the quality of the offices available at 10 Temple Street made this a simple decision.
“The ready availability of public transport, investment in the building’s cycle provision and proximity to the city’s growing business, retail and restaurant amenities all contributed to this decision and we are now looking forward to growing our new home in Birmingham.”
10 Temple Street has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment by its long term owner Freshwater Group, with the building stripped back to its frame to enable the delivery of contemporary office floorplates featuring semi-exposed services.
Significant enhancements have also been made to the façade, entrance and common areas including the main reception, which features an innovative and space-saving ‘sesame lift’ that folds back into the stairs when not in use.
Andrew Thomson from building owner, Freshwater Group, said: “It is always gratifying to see investment in a building paying off through a strong letting to a great tenant. We are naturally delighted that SThree selected 10 Temple Street for their new Birmingham location and look forward to working with them going forward.”
10 Temple Street is being jointly marketed by JLL and KWB.
Jonathan Carmalt, JLL, said: “While Birmingham has a strong pipeline of upcoming Grade A office stock, there is limited availability for occupiers with smaller, high quality requirements in this vibrant part of the city centre and at a competitive rent. The addition of 10 Temple Street to the market means that we are offering eight floors of stylish offices in a first-class location to occupiers seeking modern, bright and attractive space.”
Temple Street is on the doorstep of Birmingham’s Colmore Business District, home to a number of blue chip and professional services occupiers as well as some of Birmingham city centre’s best coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
New Street is nearby and Snow Hill station is within easy walking distance, as are the Grand Central and Bullring shopping centres, providing occupiers with a vast range of transport and leisure opportunities.
