Crown Lift Trucks Ltd has purchased the long leasehold interest of Danescourt, Basingstoke from Dolphin Head Group Holdings Plc.
Danescourt is a 37,000 sq ft high office content headquarters facility positioned in Rutherford Road on the Daneshill Industrial Estate. With considerable frontage to the A33 Reading Road, Danescourt will serve Crown Equipment Corporation as their UK Head Office to bring together distribution, sales and hire, servicing and parts supply from their present facilities at Bristol, Swindon and Sunbury.
Speaking after the completion of the sale, Simon Emery of Crown said …..”we are delighted to have bought this imposing building for our UK Head Office. Danescourt has good access to the national motorway network via the M3 and M4 and will allow us to improve the service to our customer base. After some modest modifications, the building will fully suit our purposes and boost efficiency to drive the business forward”.
James Stewart, MD of Dolphin Head was equally pleased with the sale. “It is a testing time for the property market so it is good to have secured an occupier with funding who can use this HQ building to develop their business strategy”.
