New business development manager for Partner Construction

Partner Construction, a specialist affordable housing contractor and developer, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a business development manager.

With offices in the North East and East Midlands, Partner has appointed Angela Garrard to its business development division to work alongside director, Leigh Cresswell. Angela’s primary focus will be on increasing development opportunities from the North West down to the West Midlands. This will include identifying land for acquisition, and acting as the first point of contact for Registered Providers (RP’s) and local authorities, together with managing resident consultations and attending planning meetings.

With over 24 years’ experience working for some of the country’s most high-profile RP’s and local authorities, Angela brings a wealth of expertise in the provision of affordable housing and is a significant addition to the team at Partner, which already handles projects valued at over  £30m.

“Partner has just completed its first year of trading, yet its extensive portfolio already includes the construction and aftercare of over 30 developments, demonstrating a refreshing commitment to both quality and building longstanding partnerships,” explains Angela.

“Partner has ambitious plans for growth and a number of exciting ideas for the future. We plan to launch our bespoke, online Customer Care solution later this year which will not only transform communication between developers, affordable housing partners and residents but also provide a platform for developers and RP’s to capture any aftercare data in real time and ensure they are resolved within agreed timescales. I am excited to start consolidating existing partnerships, working with new clients and contributing towards the continued success of the business.”

Leigh Cresswell, business development director added: “Angela is exactly the calibre of professional we were looking for; experienced and enthusiastic with an unrivalled network of contacts that will certainly help to ensure our continued growth and development. We have no doubt Angela will be an invaluable addition to our team and are very much looking forward to the year ahead.”

Originally from Oldham, Angela now lives in Cheshire and in her spare time enjoys badminton, tennis, music and walking her dog, Scamp.
