Naismiths cleared for take-off on Heathrow hotel project

National property and construction consultancy Naismiths has been appointed to oversee the construction of a major hotel at one of the world’s busiest airports.

The consultancy will take on the role of project manager and employers agent in delivering an £18 million Courtyard by Marriott hotel, at Heathrow Airport near London.

Manny Aparicio, national head of project management at Naismiths, said: “This is a major boost not just for the airport and the Courtyard by Marriott portfolio, but for the thousands of airport passengers that require high quality hotel accommodation.

“Marriott is a leading global brand and we are delighted to be working alongside the company in delivering yet another top of the range hotel. To be entrusted to project manage the build is a massive compliment to the outstanding results that the team at Naismiths consistently secures.”

The hotel will boast 244 bedrooms, a 600 cover banqueting suite and a remarkable sixth-floor sky-bar overlooking the airport.

Construction will get underway this month (March), with work expected to take 18 months before completion.
