Leading chartered surveyors Kirkby Diamond has announced a series of lettings in Leighton Buzzard after a successful retail marketing campaign in the town.

It secured restaurant Cod & Waffle, Espresso Boutique coffee shop and Constantine’s hairdressers at three units at the new Greenfields housing development after being instructed by Aldwyck Housing Association to attract tenants.

The chartered surveyors successfully brought Blackcircle Records, which relocated from Ilfracombe, Devon, and Cupcake Café, a speciality bakery/coffee shop for two new retail units in Hockliffe Street in Leighton Buzzard town centre after being appointed by a private developer to find new tenants.

Kirkby Diamond also agreed terms on the former Cashino premises at 12 Market Square, Leighton Buzzard, to a local operator.

Nick Bosworth, surveyor in Kirkby Diamond’s office agency, who led the instructions, said: “Thanks to our pro-active approach and expert local knowledge, we attracted six great new retailers who are providing the community with local, independent retailers, providing much-needed facilities for residents.

“Our evidence demonstrates that there is still demand from good, local operators who want to lease space in thriving market towns.”
