A meeting of directors from the Bristol office of Colliers International at the Manor Hotel, Crickhowell, has resulted in a £200 donation to Cancer Research Wales.

Eira Jones, chairman of the Brecon and Sennybridge of Cancer Research Wales, received the donation after cooking a three-course lunch for the 15 directors to enjoy, following a morning of presentations.

Tim Davies, head of office said: “We were delighted to be express our gratitude for such a superb lunch by making a donation to Cancer Research Wales.

“The suggestion came from Ben Jones, who leads our Holiday Parks team. He is Eira’s son, and when he told us about the vital work of Cancer Research Wales, and his mother’s superb cooking it seemed an excellent idea to make a charitable donation for a lunch cooked by Eira.

“We were very well-looked after by Eira, and also by the staff at the Manor Hotel, and greatly appreciate all they did to make our directors’ meeting such a success.”

After lunch, the 15 directors set off on a walk up Pen Cerrig-calch, via the Iron Age hillfort on Crug Hywel, or ‘Table Mountain’.

Five members of the team completed the walk, with Hotels director Peter Brunt and Development director Chris Dawson reaching the top first, followed by Tim Davies, Ben Jones and director of Commercial Leases, Katie Bapty.
