Landmark town centre building sold

A substantial Grade II listed retail and office building at the heart of Westbury, Wiltshire, has been sold.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully negotiated the sale of the three-storey 24 Warminster Road.

The freehold quoting price for the landmark building was £299,000. The building was let to a number of retail and office tenants.

The new owner is independent mortgage brokers Impartial Financial Management who occupied part of the building.

Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said: “I was pleased to help facilitate the expansion of this family firm, led by managing director Paul Hart, in such a landmark property.

“It is situated in the centre of the bustling town, close to a range of retail and office premises, with nearby occupiers including Aldi, Morrisons and Allan & Harris Estate Agents.

“This substantial three-storey Grade II Listed building is arranged as ground floor retail premises, plus basement office and storage, and first and second floor offices with independent access.

“The offices provide a number of individual rooms and are capable of being let on a floor by floor or individual suite basis and have fitted carpets, night storage heating and strip lighting. Each floor has cloakroom and kitchenette facilities.”

To the rear of the 4,297 sq ft (399.19 sq m) property there is a large car park providing spaces for around 16 vehicles.
