New retailer lights up Commerce Park

A leading independent electrical wholesale distributor has opened a new branch in Frome.

Eyre & Elliston Ltd has taken a 10-year lease on Unit L16 at the town’s Commerce Park.

Property consultancy and the Park’s managing agents, Myddelton & Major, successfully negotiated the deal for the end of terrace industrial/warehouse unit where the asking rent was £13,000 per annum.

Myddelton & Major Partner Philip Holford said: “Eyre & Elliston is an independent electrical wholesale distributor with 60 strategically located branches across the UK”.

“Indeed, the new Frome branch is the company’s 60th outlet and continues the development of the branch network and further strengthens the south west region of the group.

“The Derbyshire-headquartered firm covers electrical installation materials, lamps and lighting fittings, motor control gear, switch and distribution products, water heating, space heating and ventilation equipment. Each branch offers a full trade counter, telephone and delivery service.”

Eyre and Elliston’s unit has a ground floor of 1,500 sq ft (139.35 sq m) and a first floor ancillary space measuring 750 sq ft (69.67 sq m).

Frome is situated in a strategic location on the Somerset/Wiltshire border with excellent road and rail access to major networks.

The M4 is accessed via the A36 and Frome station offers direct mainline services. Bristol Airport is approximately 30 miles away.

Commerce Park is located on the Frome bypass, midway between the M4, M5 and A303 corridors close to the junction of the A36 and A361.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2016 for the fifth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
