Edinburgh’s Castlebrae Business Centre approaches full occupancy

Acting for social enterprise Cre8te Opportunities Limited based in Craigmillar, Ryden has recently secured a number of new tenants at Castlebrae Business Centre progressing occupancy levels over the past six months from 75% to circa 95%.

The most recent lettings include children’s retail company The Sprouts Association; voluntary support organisation Inclusion Alliance; and online giftshop Terrapin Trading.

Castlebrae Business Centre, located in Craigmillar in Edinburgh, has recently undergone an extensive £2 million refurbishment project to provide over 35,000 sq ft of modern, bright and attractive office / studio accommodation. The business centre is set up to benefit the local community, offering flexible lease terms and competitive rents in the region of £10 per sq ft, including service charge.

Cameron Whyte, senior surveyor at Ryden, comments “We are delighted with the progress over the last few months at Castlebrae Business Centre following the refurbishment earlier this year.  The business centre is particularly popular for its flexible lease terms and attractive large open plan and versatile rooms which accommodate office, studio and light workshop uses.”

Sharron Stanton, chief executive of Cre8te Opportunities, noted: “The flexibility of our lease terms enables small to large businesses to access affordable accommodation, without being tied into lengthy lease terms.  The refurbishment of the Castlebrae Business Centre is a major boost for the local area of Craigmillar and the variety of tenants within the building helps create the amazing atmosphere that was lacking before the refurbishment.  Cre8te would like to thank Ryden for their help and assistance in enabling this iconic building to thrive once again.”
