New manager for Acorn’s training division

Leading UK training provider Acorn Learning & Development has appointed a new key member of staff at its head office in Newport.

Rachel Johns, 29, joins the company as corporate development manager. With nine years experience in the industry including other managerial roles, Rachel, from Trecynon in Aberdare, has a wide range of experience and expertise in the area.

Rachel has ambitious aims for her new position with a focus on expanding into the South West of England. Rachel said: “I’m keen to work closely with Acorn’s recruitment branches in England to promote and sell the work-based learning and training we offer. I also plan to continue with the promotion of commercial opportunities within Wales.”

Commercial Director of Acorn Learning and Development, Sarah John, said of the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Rachel to the division. She joins us with an impressive list of credentials and excellent experience. Her ambition to drive Acorn’s training arm further into England is very encouraging and exactly what we need.”
