Rapleys ramps up Birmingham team

(L-R): Charlie Steele, Alfred Bartlett and Matt Greenaway on site at the new Marks & Spencer development in Moseley, which Rapleys is acting on.

National property and planning consultancy Rapleys has added two new recruits to its Birmingham team.

Matt Greenaway joins as senior associate from Bilfinger GVA’s automotive and roadside team.

At Rapleys he will advise developers, investors and occupiers on the acquisition, disposal and development of retail-led assets, including High Street shops, retail parks, convenience stores, neighbourhood and mixed-used developments, and drive-thru restaurants throughout the Midlands.

Charlie Steele also joins the team as a surveyor. He moves from Steeles Estate Agents, where he conducted sales, lettings and valuations on a range of commercial properties.

The Rapleys partnership was established in 1951 and launched its Birmingham office – its sixth in the country – in June this year, following the acquisition of Bartlett Property in May.

Alfred Bartlett heads the new office. He said: “The appointment of Matt and Charlie is the first step in growing the Rapleys team in Birmingham, as we seek to establish the brand and increase our service offer.”
