Cushman & Wakefield secures double letting at Port Talbot estate

Acting on behalf of Double Overhead Limited, the Cardiff office of Cushman & Wakefield has secured two successive lettings of Units 5 and 8 Kenfig Industrial Estate, Port Talbot to Clarity Copiers Glamorgan and SED Conveyors Limited respectively.

Comprising a total of 30,000 sq ft of warehousing and office accommodation with ancillary loading yard, spread across 2 semi-detached premises, Cushman & Wakefield successfully secured new leases to regional occupiers Clarity Copiers Glamorgan and SED Conveyors Limited after the accommodation was deemed surplus to requirement by Double Overhead Limited, which have been trading at the location since June 2004.

Chris Yates, Senior Surveyor in Cushman & Wakefield’s National Industrial & Logistics team comments:  “Units 5 and 8 Kenfig Industrial Estate comprise good quality warehousing space with ancillary office accommodation and loading yard, conveniently situated adjacent to the M4 motorway in an established industrial location. We received strong levels of interest in both premises and were quickly able to secure new lettings to businesses with existing bases in South Wales, which was particularly satisfying. Our client took a practical approach in being able to meet each parties’ required timescales, phasing their own vacation from the space to ensure there was no void period or holding cost incurred”.

Clarity Copiers Glamorgan are to use the accommodation in Unit 5 as a distribution base for their digital copier printers, whilst SED Conveyors, who trade as RTI Western, propose to utilise Unit 8 as their depot for repair, maintenance and supply of conveyor belts.
