Food company acquires major warehouse premises at Exeter Airport

In one of the largest deals of the year, Stratton Creber Commercial has acquired the former Goodridge Engineering premises at Fair Oak Close, Exeter Airport on behalf of clients.

Comprising 23,745 sq ft of warehouse and office accommodation on 1.54 acres the freehold has been bought by J & R Foodservice Limited to facilitate their expansion off an asking price of £1.495m.

Andrew Hosking, Director of Stratton Creber Commercial’s Exeter office confirms: “having been looking for a larger building for a long time, it is particularly pleasing that we were able to source a suitable property within 100m of my clients’ existing food distribution facility.”

A transaction was structured involving an early exchange of contracts with a delayed completion allowing Goodridge time to move to their new facility on the Exeter Business Park.

Stratton Creber Commercial acted for the purchasers with JLL’s Exeter office acting for the vendors.
