Birchwood Park welcomes £195 million company Foss

PATRIZIA UK, the manager of Birchwood Park, Warrington, has welcomed its newest occupier FOSS, the analytical equipment business with a turnover of more than £195 million.

FOSS will occupy 2,774 sq ft of office space at Chadwick House, and joins Birchwood Park from Birchwood Boulevard after looking to expand to an office space that offered extensive onsite amenities, in order to provide staff with a high-quality working environment.

The business is a global operator with more than 120 offices worldwide, and specialises in developing analytical solutions to give clients full control of the agricultural food production process.

Chadwick House lies right at the heart of Birchwood Park meaning employees of FOSS will be in prime position to utilise ‘The Centre’, the park’s business and leisure destination that offers restaurant, gym and meeting facilities, as well as enjoying the landscaped gardens and lakeside views.

Commenting on the move, David Jones, Financial Controller & Company Secretary at FOSS, said: “Our business had outgrown its previous office space, so it was important for us to find somewhere with the capacity to support our expansion as a business. We also wanted to maximise the benefits available to our employees and offer them more than just an office space.

“We’re extremely pleased to have secured a suitable office space within such a community-led business park, with the added bonus of excellent transport links. Travelling to and from work with as little disruption as possible is something we wanted to be able to offer our staff. Since joining the park we have been really impressed by its accessibility; the recently completed road improvements have made our staff’s commute much quicker”.

Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, said: “Providing businesses with a healthy work-life balance has been a primary focus for us at Birchwood Park. It is encouraging to hear that this played such a key part in Foss’ decision to relocate to Chadwick House. Our recent investment in road improvements will also ensure that FOSS is well connected to its national and international operations. We look forward to welcoming the FOSS team to our thriving community.”
