Himor Group, advised by Fawcett Mead, has let a prime shop in Barnstaple town centre to JD Sports for its first store in north Devon.
The sports fashion retailer has taken the 6,542 sq ft shop at 72 High Street on a new 10-year lease at a rent of £120,000 a year. JD will trade from the 3,482 sq ft ground floor with the remainder as storage space.
The landlord had agreed a simultaneous lease surrender with Cargo, the previous occupier, to enable the deal to take place.
JLL advised JD Sports and Smart4 acted for Cargo.
