A newly established corporate advisory firm has further strengthened its senior team on the back of a strong pipeline of transactional deal flow generated in its first year.

Lexington Corporate Advisors, which was founded by Gary Partridge and Nigel Greenaway, has appointed Andrew Morris as a director of the Corporate Advisory business.

With an MBA from Aston Business School in addition to a CIMA management accounting qualification, he joins the team with over 20 years’ experience working in senior finance roles in a variety of manufacturing businesses to drive deal flow with a focus, in particular, upon the manufacturing sector and succession exit planning.

After working in a variety of senior finance roles for Tata Steel’s manufacturing subsidiaries, Mr Morris led almost a hundred transactions which directly and indirectly invested upwards of £25m into the South Wales SME marketplace.

This included structured management buy-outs/buy-ins and growth capital MBIs across a variety of sectors, in addition to helping SMEs access other funding in various forms.

At Lexington, he will work alongside Gary Partridge and Nigel Greenaway in providing strategic advice targeted at business growth, acquisitions, disposals, fund raising to a variety of clients, including entrepreneurs, SMEs and larger organisations.

On his appointment, Mr Morris said: “I’m delighted to be able to join Lexington. Since its launch, Lexington has grown from strength to strength having advised on deals including the multi-million pound MBO of A&N Lewis and I’m joining at a time where there are many more transactions in the pipeline.

“In my previous role, I gained a vast amount of experience working with SMEs to help them access funding and I’m very much aware of what’s required to get transactions across the line. I’m eager to bring this wide experience and knowledge to Lexington and continue to grow the business.”

Gary Partridge, director of Lexington, said: “Andrew will be a great asset to our growing team. He has a vast amount of experience and an excellent track record of investing and completing deals as a principal, particularly within the sectors that we are targeting. His knowledge will be invaluable in adding value to our clients.”

Nigel Greenaway, co-founder of Lexington, said: “Andrew has worked with SMEs and helped them realise their aspirations to grow and thrive. He understands that projects need the right advice and support to succeed, which is why he’s a perfect fit for Lexington. We’re looking forward to working with him.”

Lexington Corporate Advisors was set up in January 2016, by Gary Partridge and Nigel Greenaway. The entrepreneurial advisory boutique specialises in providing strategic advice targeted at business growth, acquisitions, disposals and fund raising.

Drawing upon Gary and Nigel’s combined network, knowledge and over 40 years’ experience of working in corporate finance, Lexington works right across the UK as Lead Advisor providing hands-on, trusted advice to companies and their owners seeking to facilitate growth and crystallise value.
