Professional Music Technology to open new store in Nottingham

Marco Island will become home to the UK’s 15th Professional Music Technology (PMT) store, in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.

David Black of PMT comments:

“The East Midlands with Nottingham in particular has been on our radar for a while. The rich musical heritage, and buoyant performing arts scene that Nottingham has makes it an obvious choice for us to bring our award winning retail model into town. We have existing links here such as working alongside the ‘Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies’ which has over 1,400 students. This was a contributing factor to our store’s location as it is situated opposite our new site at Marco Island.

We’re excited to start trading here and FHP have been very helpful and efficient in both finding us the right unit and ensuring it was a smooth process.”

Established in 1991, PMT are award winning musical instrument and equipment retailers, and amongst a broad spectrum of accolades, they are 8-time winners of the ‘MIA Best Multiple Retailer/ Best Retailer’ award.

Matt Revill of FHP Property Consultants comments:

“We saw this is a great opportunity and location for PMT within Marco Island. We were able to offer them a blank canvass to design a store that would fit their ever growing business. With a hands on approach from the owners of Marco Island we were able to agree and design a store layout that suits both tenant and landlord going forward. The location at Marco Island offer PMT good exposure from passing trade while being located next to the Hockley area, which is pivotal to their store requirement.

It follows the letting to ‘iLocked’ who we secured as the first tenants for Marco Island in March, while having another tenant proceeding in solicitors hands.”

With the landlord contributing towards the capital expenditure of PMT’s building and shop fit works they wish to be ready for trading by the end of September 2016.

PMT will be trading from 4,206ft² of ground floor retail trading area, leaving over 5,000ft² of space at Marco Island for new tenants
