Beach Baker sponsors Bristol Property Agents Association annual charity Boules Event Raising £2,600

The Beach Baker BPAA Boules team

Beach Baker, expert recruitment consultancy for the property sector sponsored the Bristol Property Agents Association’s (BPAA’s) Boules competition in aid of St.Peter’s Hospice and The Great Western Air Ambulance.

The tournament, in which 48 teams from the Bristol property market took part, was held at The Orangery, Goldney Hall in Clifton. Divided into 8 groups, each team representing their company was given the opportunity to win the Cup or Silver Plate competition. The top team from the group stage contested the Cup competition with 2nd place qualifying for the Silver Plate knockout stages.

The semi-finalists for the Cup competition included Hartnell Taylor Cook (HTC), CS2, Sisman Property Consultants and Integral. In a closely contested battle, Integral came out on top against HTC, and Sisman Property Consultants defeated CS2. The final was bitterly fought by both teams but Integral eventually claimed victory over Sisman to become the well-deserved winners and Cup Champions, taking the crown from Colliers who won the 2015 tournament.

In the Silver Plate competition, reigning holders Gregg Latchams made it through the group rounds, being determined to take home their kindly donated new Plate. Sadly, their success was short-lived being out manoeuvred by Knight Frank. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas made short work of their semi-final to setup a property consultancy showdown with Savills. BNP secured victory and were crowned winners of the coveted Silver Plate competition in the tightly contested final.

After the BBQ, John Benson, President of BPAA awarded the prizes to the successful teams and spoke about the importance of supporting local charities. Rupert Stuart-Baker and Fred Hicks Beach from Beach Baker awarded the raffle prizes donated by Savills Residential Lettings and the Port of Call pub in Clifton.

Rupert Stuart-Baker, Director said: “This is our ninth BPAA Boules event and to raise £2,600 for St.Peter’s Hospice and The Great Western Air Ambulance is a great achievement. I would like to thank Guy Mansfield, CBRE, Sarah Ogden at JLL and Jemma Corbett at Savills for all their organisation and all the teams for making the competition such a success. Bring on 2017!”
