Rombourne, the Cardiff-based specialist provider of serviced business accommodation across Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and Swindon, has announced the opening of a new 16,000 sq ft mixed use workspace development at its Industrial Centre at Moy Road in Taffs Well.

The building has been fully refurbished to provide workshops, offices and storage units from 100 sq ft upwards.  Five new workshop/incubator units on the ground floor provide flexible and affordable business accommodation.

On the first floor, 5,500 sq ft of modern office accommodation has been created to provide furnished office suites from as little as £50 per week on an all-inclusive rate basis.  Other services can be provided as required.

The company has recently employed a new estates manager Stephen Myers, who will be responsible for managing Moy Road and the company’s other commercial property interests in the region.  Stephen is a qualified chartered surveyor, formerly employed by Cardiff Council’s strategic estates department with experience in the private property market, having worked for a multi-national commercial property advisory firm.

Rombourne provides business accommodation in Cardiff, Newport, Bristol and Swindon and the Moy Road investment follows its recent acquisition of Capital Business Park in Cardiff.

Damian Stokes, Chief Executive of Rombourne, said: “We have identified a shortage of good quality affordable workspace, and with our experience of the serviced office market, we are able to provide this accommodation on terms that will suit business occupiers in the locality.”

Stephen Myers added “Moy Road provides good quality business and warehouse accommodation with excellent transport links, with the A470 and M4 Junction 32 both located within 1 mile of the Centre.”

Knight Frank and DLP Surveyors have been jointly appointed as the commercial property agents at Moy Road.  Commenting on this investment Michael Bruce of DLP Surveyors, said:  “Rombourne has developed the accommodation in response to the critical need for smaller sized, flexible and economically priced business accommodation for SMEs in the area looking to make the next step from working from home, or expansion from their existing business premises.”

Neil Francis, partner in the industrial agency team, of Knight Frank in Cardiff, said: “There is strong demand for industrial premises for growing Welsh businesses and Rombourne’s investment in Moy Road will create versatile affordable accommodation that will help boost the local economy.”
