Leading health and beauty retailer Boots is one of two businesses to sign up for industrial space at St. Modwen’s Watling Street Business Park site near Cannock, Staffordshire.

The UK’s leading regeneration specialist – who owns and manages the popular business park – has exchanged contracts on two units totaling 12,598 sq ft of space as demand for industrial space in the Midlands continues to outstrip supply.

Boots has taken 4,133 sq ft on a five year lease, whilst bespoke exhibition specialist Icon Exhibition Ltd has signed up to a three year lease on a 8,465 sq ft unit, leaving just one 4,234 sq ft unit available to let.

The new tenants join major occupiers including logistics operator Pro Freight Solutions Ltd, which took a 48,467 sq ft unit earlier this year, medical gas manufacturer and distributor Medical Gas Solutions and a number of long-term local and national firms.

Due to its prime location directly off the A5, Watling Street Business Park been consistently popular with a range of industrial, storage and distribution tenants, whilst also providing its own on-site management and security support facility.

Jonathan Green, senior development surveyor said: “These latest lettings at Watling Street represent the growing requirement for high-quality industrial warehouse units in this part of the region.

“Ideally positioned with excellent connectivity to the rest of the UK, the business park continues to answer tenants’ needs and is now almost completely occupied, with just one unit available.”

Watling Street comprises over 150,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing and open storage accommodation and is situated in a prime location directly off the A5, mid-way between Brownhills and Cannock, with easy access to the M6 and M6 Toll.

BNP Paribas are the letting agents on the scheme.
