Whole lot of shaking going on

36 Silver Street Salisbury

A new franchisee has taken over the Shakeaway outlet in Salisbury’s city centre and the business will continue trading.

This follows city-based property consultancy Myddelton & Major successfully finding a tenant for the 36 Silver Street premises.

Quoting rent for the prominently positioned shop in a stunning building was £30,000 per annum on a 10-year lease.

Myddelton & Major Partner Simon Lee said: “I am pleased to have helped facilitate a new franchisee of Shakeaway taking over the premises, which will continue to trade successfully in the centre of the city.

“This stunning building could not be more centrally placed and strong interest in it has led to a successful outcome for Salisbury’s retail market.

The premises occupy a prominent central trading position fronting Silver Street on the corner of Minster Street and directly opposite the pedestrianised Butcher Row.

Nearby major traders include Joules, Jojo Maman Bebe, Toni & Guy, Santander, Boots, Starbucks, Shoe Zone, Ernest Jones, Goldsmiths, Tiger & Game.”

The premises comprise a ground floor retail unit with an extensive glazed window display frontage and double door entrance from Silver Street, with internal stairs accessing the upper floor ancillary office/storage space.

The first floor is made up of an office/staffroom, the second floor has an office and storage space and on the third floor is a kitchen/store. In addition there is a useable basement providing additional storage.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2015 for the fourth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
