CBRE acquires new office for expanding software engineering firm in Glasgow

Leading property consultancy CBRE has announced it has acquired new office premises at 35-39 St Vincent Place on behalf of its client Thornton Tomasetti Ltd.

Thornton Tomasetti Ltd. has taken a south-facing suite on the sixth floor at 35/39 St. Vincent Place, comprising 2,100 sq ft, on a five year sub-lease.

The global software engineering consultancy had outgrown its premises at Strathclyde University Incubator, and required a larger office to accommodate a significant increase in staff numbers.

35-39 St. Vincent Place is a prominent building within Glasgow city centre, adjacent to George Square and Buchanan Street. The building is in a highly accessible location, being in close proximity to Glasgow’s Central and Queen Street Railway Stations, Buchanan Street Subway Station and Buchanan Bus Station.  It benefits from a high quality specification including suspended ceilings, raised access floors and a modern open plan layout.

Sophie Clancy from CBRE commented on the letting:  “It is great news that we’ve been able to find a new office for Thornton Tomasetti in Glasgow.  35-39 St. Vincent Place is a beautiful building in the heart of the city centre with fantastic panoramic views to the south.  I’m sure it will be a fitting home for Thornton Tomasetti as it expands its business in Glasgow.”

CBRE acted on behalf of Thornton Tomasetti whilst the head tenant was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.
