Dudley’s Aluminium wins contract with ISG for BBC Cymru Wales Headquarters

Aluminium fabricators Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a major contract to support the construction of the new £120m BBC Cymru Wales Headquarters in Cardiff.

The new headquarters, which is being developed by Rightacres Property, will be situated in the heart of Cardiff and will be part of the new Central Square development. The headquarters will house 1,200 staff and is expected to inject more than £1bn into the Welsh economy over a 10-year period. The project will be handed over to the BBC in April 2018.

Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a contract with ISG, in excess of £3m, to create and install the building’s aluminium façade, as well as providing various doors and windows on the project.

Dudley’s contract at the BBC Cymru Wales Headquarters comes after the company successfully completed work at One Central Square, the first project the Central Square development. The company installed key structural architectural aluminium and glazing at the site.

Dudley’s reputation for quality has been recognised with several industry-related accreditations. The company is CHAS and Achilles accredited, Constructionline registered, and certified to manufacture “Secured by Design” products.
