Leading property consultancy CBRE has announced it has secured an occupier to let the entire Airbles House building in Motherwell on behalf of the landlord Regent Capital.

Network Rail, the authority responsible for the UK’s railway network, has taken the whole building, comprising 17,522 sq ft of Grade A office space over three levels, on a new eight year FRI lease.

Airbles House, which is located in a prominent position to the east side of Airbles Road, approximately one mile from junction 6 of the M74, provides high quality open-plan office accommodation with ample car parking as well as access to public transport links.

Commenting on the letting, Alistair Urquhart, associate director at CBRE, said:  “Airbles House is a fantastic building and provided a rare opportunity to acquire a self-contained circa 18,000 sq ft office in a very accessible location.  It is therefore no surprise that a high profile organisation such as Network Rail decided to take the entire building for its operations.”

As well as excellent environmental ratings which provide financial savings for occupiers, Airbles House has large open plan floorplates which achieve exceptional levels of natural daylight across all four elevations.  An eight person passenger lift services all floors and there are male, female and accessible toilets on all floors as well as showers.

Alistair Reid, director at JLL, which acted for Network Rail, added:  “Airbles House is a wonderful development in an enviable location.  As a destination for doing business, Motherwell is a great town and I’m sure the quality of the working population, excellent transport links and the surrounding amenities available to staff represent a great offering for Network Rail as an employer.  Therefore we had no hesitation is presenting Airbles House to our client and I’m sure the organisation will find it an excellent building for the business.”

CBRE and Lambert Smith Hampton acted for Regent Capital whilst JLL represented Network Rail.
