Evans pedal in to first store in Aberdeen

Leading property consultancy CBRE has leased Unit B Great Northern Road to Evans Cycles which has expanded north and opened its first store in the city, joining three other existing stores in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The new store extends to around 4,000 sq ft and allows the retailer to access a brand new customer base following a ten year commitment to the city

Iain Landsman, associate director of CBRE Aberdeen, said: “It is fantastic that Evans Cycles has chosen to open its first store in Aberdeen. It is a great addition to the city which has a strong cycling heritage.

“The unit has superb prominence being located on Great Northern Road, making it an excellent choice for a high profile national retailer like Evans Cycles.”

Having already enjoyed 95 years of success, Evans Cycles is the largest cycling specialist in the UK with over 50 stores nationwide.  A range of Sir Chris Hoy bikes are stocked at the stores and have been popular with cycling enthusiasts.

CBRE represented the landlord National Australia Group CIF Trustees Limited in the transaction while Harvey Spackfield represented Evans Cycles.
