Brandon Trust chooses Whiteladies Road, Bristol for its third charity shop opening in a year

Brandon Trust, the Bristol-based charity supporting adults and children with learning disabilities and autism, has opened its third shop in Bristol, at 144 Whiteladies Road, Clifton.

The property was let on a five-year lease by Williams Gunter Hardwick after a short marketing campaign on behalf of Boscobel Property Holdings. It will provide the charity with 780 sq ft (72.3 sq m) of sales area together with 735 sq ft (68 sq m) of basement storage.

It was formerly occupied for some 30 years by Holmswoods prior to the family retiring from running the ladies and gentlemen’s clothing store.

“Brandon Trust is a great local charity which enjoys a lot of support in Bristol,” says Stuart Williams, Director of Williams Gunter Hardwick, “so we expect them to do well in this location. Charity shops also help drive footfall, so we anticipate their arrival giving a fillip to this part of Blackboy Hill.”

The charity’ s first two shops opened last year in Cotham Hill and Gloucester Road. There are hopes that more will follow in due course, if these outlets trade well, to help raise awareness and vital funds for the important work of this charity.
