Local Cardiff hotel joins international hotel brand

The Maldron Hotel Cardiff has joined the world’s largest group of independently owned hotels, Best Western, in a bid to strength its market position in the UK.
 
The partnership means that the hotel will be known as the Best Western Plus Maldron Hotel Cardiff, making it the first new hotel to become a ‘Plus’. To qualify for this prestigious accreditation the hotel had to meet the exacting requirements of AAA/CAA and was subsequently awarded a 3 diamond rating.
 
This newly built, 216-bedroom hotel, will remain independently owned and managed by the Dalata Hotel Group, but will now be put firmly on the global map as a Best Western Plus hotel. It is only the second Hotel in Wales to become a Plus.
