BDO Midlands promotes Tim Foster to partner

Accountancy and business advisory firm, BDO LLP, has announced the promotion of nine new partners across the UK, including Tim Foster, who heads up the firm’s Risk and Advisory Services (RAS) team in the Midlands.

Tim joined BDO in 2013 from KPMG. He has considerable experience of providing internal audit, corporate governance and risk management solutions to a portfolio of leading organisations throughout the UK and the world across a number of sectors, including manufacturing, retail, TMT, construction and housing.

Tim has over 17 years’ experience in leading on assignments across multiple countries and territories, and has a track record of successfully managing teams and streamlining controls and processes to focus on client priorities.

During his career Tim has acted as Head of Internal Audit for two FTSE 250 companies reporting directing into the Board and their supporting committees; he has also recently completed a 12 month secondment as Interim Head of Corporate Audit at a FTSE 100.

Tim has also spent four years setting up and running the internal control function for a large US multinational, and specialises in assessing large scale business change and major projects, financial and operational controls, and helping companies implement frameworks for managing risk and compliance with global legislation, anti-bribery and corruption.

Living in Solihull, Tim is married with one daughter. He is an avid golfer and member of Olton Golf Club. Tim is also a dedicated supporter of the annual Action for Children Byte Night event held in St Paul’s Square in October, when he and his team will be found sleeping out to raise awareness of child homelessness.
