Leading utility company to open new depot at Ludgershall’s Castledown Business Park

Acting on behalf of Wiltshire Council, property consultants Alder King have let a brand new, high quality industrial unit on Brydges Court at Castledown Business Park, Ludgershall to UK Power Networks.

The utility company, responsible for delivering electricity to over 8 million homes and businesses in London, the South East and the East of England, will use Unit 6a as a service depot.

It has agreed a new 10 year lease on the end of terrace unit which provides 5,458 sq ft of accommodation, together with 10 car parking spaces. The company is now undertaking a six week programme to fit out the interior to create office and staff facilities as well as the distribution facility.

James Gregory, partner at Alder King, said: “Following the success of the first phase at Castledown, Wiltshire Council has delivered a second high quality scheme in Brydges Court. We’re delighted to have secured this larger letting in addition to the previous lettings to Real Cooking and TOSB. There are also two further lettings in the pipeline.”

Brydges Court provides 15 industrial units ranging from 711 sq ft to 5,982 sq ft. Units can be combined to accommodate larger requirements and can be purchased on a 150 year long leasehold basis at a peppercorn rent or leased for a term of years to be agreed.

Castledown Business Park provides a total of 33 acres of employment land suitable for office and industrial occupation so larger requirements can also be accommodated. Phase One, known as Fitz Gilbert Court, comprises 21 small industrial and office units together with Castledown Business Centre which is available for the use of occupiers on The Park and The Enterprise Network (TEN) building and offers office space, hot-desking and post box facilities for small and start-up businesses along with meeting rooms, conference facilities and access to business advice.
