Six Somerset businesses were chosen to help celebrate Plum Communications & PR’s sixth birthday celebrations with a traditional tea party.

The Weston-super-Mare based marketing and PR agency that specialises in commercial property PR, invited six of its latest client wins, all of which are based in the Somerset area, to share cake and blow out candles to mark its sixth year in business this May.

As well as a celebration cake that was shared at the party, each client was also given a cupcake to enjoy on the day, personalised with their own company logo.

Nigel Hatfield, director of Taunton-based Hatfield White said: “I am pleased to have instructed Plum Communications & PR to help with the marketing of an exciting commercial development on a waterfront site in Taunton coming soon to the market. I’ve seen some of the work that Plum have undertaken in and around Taunton and I have been impressed with both their local and industry knowledge and I’m very much looking forward to working with the team at Plum.”

Karen Morledge, managing director of Plum, is delighted with the way the business has continued to grow and explains: “The business has gone from strength-to-strength over the past six years. While our customer base has diversified and spanned throughout Somerset and the South West, we are thrilled that an increasing number of Somerset businesses are turning to Plum for our local knowledge and expertise to support them in their marketing and PR endeavours.

“Somerset is fantastic place to live and work and I am very pleased to work alongside a fantastic array of businesses from small start-ups and sole traders to large public sector organisations.”

In recent months, Plum has been engaged by the following companies and organisations throughout Somerset:

· Tots Up – a crowd funded business from Banwell seeking to launch a new children’s product;
· Somerset Enterprise Centres who have five business centres and hubs throughout Somerset and Exmoor;
· DNA of Engagement – a new business start-up from Weston-super-Mare that specialises in employee engagement;
· the Weston-super-Mare Town Centre Partnership for the Business Improvement District (BID);
· commercial property agent, Hatfield White, based in Taunton and;
· Somerset Building Control Partnership – a new partnership between four local authorities in Somerset.

Karen added, “We are so pleased that closely following on from Somerset Day on 11 May 2016, which celebrated all that is great about Somerset, several of our new Somerset clients could come and celebrate our 6th business birthday with us. I’m looking forward to seeing what the next 12 months has in store for Plum and would like to thank everyone associated with us for their continued support.”
