Success at Warwickshire component manufacturers Ricor Ltd has forced the international business to take on a further 37,000 sq ft in the West Midlands.

Advised by Redditch property consultants John Truslove, they have taken Unit 4 at Delta Point in West Bromwich to house the group’s assembly and dispatch operations.

Ricor staff will be installing robotic assembly cells for the Jaguar Land Rover supply chain.

The company’s 120,000sqft production facility in Studley was no longer large enough to cope with growing demand for Ricor’s products.

John Beary, managing director of Ricor Ltd, said: “We needed to free up additional manufacturing space and so we instructed John Truslove to search for suitable premises.”

John Truslove director Ben Truslove said: “After meeting to agree the search criteria, we initiated a comprehensive search of the West Midlands and prepared a shortlist.

“We took Ricor’s senior management team on a tour of the options, having initially identified Delta Point before it was actually on the market.

“Having contacted the landlord’s agent James Bird at Bulleys in Wolverhampton, we negotiated terms, produced a Schedule of Condition and were then very much hands-on through to completion.”

John Beary said: “Ben and the team at John Truslove understood what we wanted and went out of their way to ensure they came up with the goods, thus saving us valuable management time in a business that is growing fast.”

Ricor Ltd is a well established manufacturer of metal pressings and welded assemblies with over 40 years’ experience in the supply chain.

The company has manufacturing sites both on a 17 acre site at Studley, Warwickshire, in the UK and Poland, combined with an engineering resource centre in Shenzen, China.

James Bird of Bulleys said: “When Ben Truslove contacted us, we knew that Delta Point was ideal for the purpose and we are really pleased to have secured such a prestigious tenant for this busy industrial park.”

“Terms were agreed as soon as the property came onto the market which shows the strong demand of good quality units within the local area.”

Bulleys and Colliers acted jointly on behalf of the landlord Revelan.
