Papa Johns opens in Christchurch

Acting on behalf of private clients, Goadsby have let 176-178 Barrack Road, Christchurch to Papa Johns (GB) Ltd, trading as Papa Johns.

Papa Johns was founded in 1984 by John Schnatter in Jeffsersonville, Indiana. There at the age of 22, he knocked down the broom closet of his father’s tavern (Mick’s Lounge), purchased $1600 worth of used restaurant equipment, and began delivering pizzas out of the back of the bar.

From day one, John knew he could make a better pizza by using fresh dough and superior-quality ingredients, and he refused to sway from that commitment to quality. It worked, and people loved his pizza. In 1985, John opened his first Papa John’s restaurant, and Papa John’s has been going strong ever since. Today Papa John’s is the third largest pizza chain in the world owning or franchising more than 3,200 stores across 29 countries, hence there are no surprises that they are recognised as the quality leaders amongst national pizza chains.

Having only fairly recently been established in the UK market, Papa Johns have over 100 stores and many more on the way. Making a quality pizza using Better Ingredients has been the foundation of Papa John’s for more than 25 years, hence its brand promise of “Better Ingredients. Better Pizza”.

The subject premises comprise 1,406 sq ft of retail area; with a further 52 sq ft of ancillary space; and was let by way of a new full repairing and insuring lease for a term of 15 years. The quoting rental was £15,000 per annum, exclusive.

Georgina Allen of Goadsby Retail, commented “We are delighted to have assisted Papa Johns with the expansion of their business, also having a property under offer to them on Ashley Road, Poole’’.
