Online giant takes Wiltshire distribution centre unit

A leading global online shopping site has taken a lease on a large unit at a prominent Wiltshire distribution centre.

Property consultancy Myddelton & Major has successfully negotiated the letting of Unit 1 at Minton Distribution Park to TOMTOP on a six-year lease.

Quoting leasehold rent for the 58,500 sq ft (5,434.65 sq m) warehouse/distribution unit with offices was £250,000 per annum

Myddelton & Major Senior Surveyor Rachael Ward said: “TOMTOP is one of the top global online wholesale and retail shopping sites, offering a variety of high quality items including remote controlled models, mobile phones, cameras, outdoor and sports equipment, car accessories and watches.

“The company, established in China in 2004 and with a registered office in Gosport, Hampshire, has taken over this unit because it is strategically situated for distribution links.”

The 12-acre Minton Distribution Park lies alongside Solstice Park, a new 160-acre development, where occupiers include Robert Wiseman Dairies, Home Bargains and Greggs, and the Park adjoins the new Tesco and Lidl supermarkets.

Minton Distribution Park is a highly visible site, adjacent to the A303, offering warehouse/distribution facilities and modern office accommodation with excellent lorry and staff parking and 24-hour security.

The park is conveniently located with access to all major road networks across the south and to the north with the A303 linking to the M3/M25 and London, the A34 north to the M4 and M40 and the A34 south to the M27 corridor and south coast ports.

Myddelton & Major was named the most active agency in Wiltshire in 2015 for the fourth year running by Estates Gazette, the weekly and online magazine of the UK commercial property industry.
