St Peter’s Hospice to appear on Bristol rugby shorts

Bristol Rugby has struck a partnership with St. Peter’s Hospice ahead of the 2011/12 RFU Championship season.

The Hospice will feature on the club’s home and away shorts after Park Furnishers, based in Bedminster, kindly donated their sponsorship to the charity.

St Peter’s Hospice is the city’s only adult hospice caring for local people with incurable illnesses. In 2010 the hospice cared for over 2,000 patients free of charge, relying heavily on fundraising events and public support.

Caroline Booth-Morris, Corporate Fundraiser for St Peter’s Hospice, said:
“We’re delighted to have our logo on Bristol Rugby’s shorts for the new season. We’re really grateful to Park Furnishers who have been a long and loyal supporter of the hospice and the work that we do. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us and we’re looking forward to a great partnership with Bristol Rugby.”

Park Furnishers, Bristol’s premier furniture store, has been established for over 40 years in the city. Tim Coller, Managing Director of Park Furnishers said: “We have always supported Bristol Rugby,” he said. “Park Furnishers appreciate what the club are trying to achieve at the moment. We were keen to develop a relationship with Bristol this season. When we arrived at the stage of deciding how to do this, it struck me that St Peter’s Hospice, a charity that we support, would benefit from the additional exposure.”
