Yogafurie has opened a new yoga centre in one of the two ground floor commercial units at Ashley Heights, a new 53-unit residential development at Ashley Down in north Bristol.

Yogafurie owner and lead instructor Ed Wood has leased Unit 2, next to the Southern Co-op, securing change of use consent from A1 to D2 to create a state of the art holistic practice.

The 2,459 sq ft unit has been fitted out with a raft of energy-saving measures including the most advanced heating system currently available.

Facilities now include a hot yoga room for hot Vinyasa yoga which is performed at 40oC, a second studio hosting Pilates and other styles of yoga, shower and changing rooms and a social and reception area.

Property consultants Alder King secured the transaction on behalf of the landlord Persimmon Homes.

Rebecca Harries of Alder King said: “Ashley Heights sits in a prominent and densely populated location next to City of Bristol College and close to Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground.  It has proved a very successful commercial development, with a large ready-made market on its doorstep.”

Yogafurie signed a 15 year lease.
